Borzoi (Russian Wolfhound)
Appearance: The Borzoi is a tall, elegant sighthound, standing 28-32 inches at the shoulder and weighing 60-105 pounds. It has a long, silky, flowing coat in various colors (white, black, grey, etc.), a narrow, elongated face, and almond-shaped eyes that give it a dignified look. Temperament: They are gentle, independent, and reserved with strangers, making them good companions but somewhat stubborn in training. Exercise: Borzois require regular exercise, such as long walks or runs, and need secure fencing due to their strong prey drive. Health: They are generally healthy but can be prone to conditions like hip dysplasia and heart issues, with a lifespan of 10-12 years. History: Originally bred in Russia for hunting large game, particularly wolves, the Borzoi is a dignified and graceful breed.

Samoyed
Appearance: Samoyeds are medium-sized dogs with a thick, double-layered coat that is typically white or cream. They stand 19-23.5 inches tall and weigh 35-65 pounds. Their distinct “Sammy smile” and almond-shaped dark eyes give them a friendly and approachable look. They have a strong, muscular build with a fluffy tail that curls over their back. Temperament: Known for their friendly, social, and affectionate nature, they are good with children and other pets but can be independent and stubborn. Exercise: They are high-energy dogs that require regular exercise and enjoy outdoor activities, especially in cold climates. Health: With a lifespan of 12-14 years, Samoyeds can be prone to hip dysplasia, PRA, and heart issues, and require regular grooming to manage shedding. History: Originally bred by the Samoyedic people of Siberia for herding reindeer and pulling sleds, they are well-suited to cold environments.
